Health Talk

To give my self a favor, I decided to change my eating habit and go for what I think are good foods for me. I was used to eat lots of rice, fatty foods, french fries and lots of crackers, drinking lots of carbonated drinks and caffeine. Fruits and veggies are least on my list before but after my last Blood Pressure check up, I decided to shift to all children enemy which I call "grass food".

To a mid 20's, having a 140/100 bp is not so good. My uncle who is a nurse, once told me when I had almost the same figures, that having high blood pressure on my age is still okay. My body can't feel the result of it since I'm still young.. anyway for cautions.. he advice me to eat healthy foods, which I didn't follow.

Well any bad doings pays off someday, and for mine, it is now. And the result is frightening.

I don't posses a killer body..(just a killer face... nakakatakot kasi... hahaha), and I don't have any plans to have one. I just want to be healthy. I don't smoke but I drink occasionally. So just base on how I live, I can be categorize as an unhealthy one.

For starter together with one of my friends, who I persuaded to go with my crazy stuffs, We decided to cut our carbohydrates intake and eat lots of vegetables and fruits which is a big challenge to her since she didn't eat fruits. Anyway yesterday, I prepared veggie spring rolls which we ate for our lunch. Today, we have tofu stuffed with chopped chicken strips and minced french beans... no rice! I don't know if I can stand to do this, until I achieved my goal.

Now, I'm 74 kilos and stand 5'7 with waist size of 33... so imagine how do I look like... hahaha. And I plan to cut my weight to 60-65 kilos and waist size of 28-30. So let see.. what will happen.

American Idol Top 36 - Wild Card Show and Result

The finalist of AI 8 was completed atlast during a Wild Card show.

I'm a bit hyperactive so I decided to write about it after I watched the show... woot!

Anyway the highlights of tonights show is when they announced Matt Giraud as the 12th Finalist, Simon told Anoop, "We decided recently, we're going to make this a Top 13." - what? what? Really? Yeah I love this!

Below are the lists of the performers for tonight shows from great to worst...

Matt Giraud - Finally he found his melody. I'm glad he do his things. The song "Who's Loving You" really suited his personality. Everything is in the right place... very very strong performance and I'm so glad he made it to the final spot.

Ricky Braddy - Sang "Superstition" on tonight's episode. I thought that it is a very strong performance. His voice is very good.. technically. I'm just disappointed that he didn't advance to the top 13. Well as what I know, the result of the show is already made before all these WC picked performed...just too bad for him. He was slashed by the judges on the personality issue.. - nonsense!

Megan Corkrey - She's lovely.. I think the song "Black Horse And The Cherry Tree" is interesting.. I just heard it tonight and yeah.. its good. The song benefited her voice.. She still sound good.. I'm glad she will be with us for some time... Just thinking what will be the sound of the songs she will be performing on the show.... I'm excited!... hehehe

Anoop Desai - He performed "My Prerogative" a song he once used in the Hollywood round.. well it was nice but I think he is too serious on the whole performance.. Anyway, Simon really likes him I think.. he make sure that there is a place for Anoop! Go Noop!

Tatiana Del Torro - Sings "Saving All My Love For You" again! - A very wrong decision of her to performed the same song twice.. Though she change some melody... it's still sound as the first... It is still good yeah.. but no its not right.. She ruined her chance... too bad :( - still love her though.

Von Smith - Sings "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word" on tonight's episode. I feel bad about him.. I really like him sing.. to do his own ways of singing.. showing what he can. I just feel that he was suffer an "Identity Crisis" all throughout. I bet he knows what he can do... but because of the judges "good(?)" advice.. he was torn on doing what he knows to what he think is right.

The judges thought its a good song for him.. well I still think his low notes are all bad.. really bad..

Jesse Langseth - performed "Tell Me Something Good" on tonights show. Well I just still don't like her. I don't know what the Paula saw on this girl that she picked her for the WC spot.. she wasted others good talent... eg: Mishavonna and Felicia.

Jasmine Murray - sings "Reflection" and I thought that she struggled much till the end of the performance. Anyway, they wants her to be in... there she is now.

American Idol 8 Group 3 Result

I'm satisfied with the last night AI result. Though, I admit, I was shocked to see Felicia to be rejected and not given a chance to be in the final cut. Anyway, I am still glad that they change their none-sense and over predictable result show into a slight dramatic one.

Remember for the past two weeks, strongest contestant that we think who will definitely advanced to the top 12 was announced last to be in... leaving us a very very bland ending? Now, maybe due to lots of feedback(as what I've read from other blog enthusiast of this show) they reformat it.

The group sang "Hot & Cold" by Katie Perry... not so nice group song but I like to comment to their good choreography. The boys are staying down so that Scott will not move a lot.... nice one!

So there it is, Lil Round is requested to stand up on the stool and was announced to be in first, leaving us on the edge of our chair, crossing our fingers, not minding the outside sound barrier focusing on what will happen every minute when Seacrest continue his job of announcing other people who are lucky to advance on the final round.

Arianna, Taylor, Alex, Kendal and Scott was called after the break. Seacrest had a small chat with Arianna first, asking how she feel on the other night performance... she regret to do her songs... wahhhh.. anyway I feel bad to see her go.. :(. Next was Taylor who seems not too happy last night.. her expression is blank... and she was out and so with Alex leaving Kendal and Scott on the drama spot.

Seacrest talked some nonsense things ( hahaha kidding ), I've waited for Kendal to broke herself... she is tense... but for sure we all know who will get through... but are we? Yes we are! Scott was in, Kendall is out. Seacrest guide our first blind contestant on the top 12 in the center stage. He sang "Mandolin Rain" again, I'm still not static with his performance.. but still I'm glad he will stay longer.

Nathaniel and Kristen was called next and was dismissed right after some flirting over Nath and Simon.. hahaha I really love this episode!

Felicia and Von are next to be called (oh no... not Felicia.. not now!) and they are cut leaving Ju'not and Jorge. Seacrest call out the two in the center stage... mi-ni-mi-ni-my-ni-mo! This is a great dramatic ending... and Jorge was in!

I never thought I'll be so fired up on last night episode hahaha. Anyway, they introduced the bunch of rejected contestant from previous group for the Wild Card selection.. Wow! I just don't agree on the selection process for the chosen WC contestant. It seems like the judges already know who they will request to perform back. It doesn't matter if they are bad singers or not.. Anyway...

Kara picked Jasmin Murray - (what? really? over Felicia or Tati?) Its seems that Kara is out of her mind. She told Jasmin to Kill them all judges.. hahaha what the? Well, nice advice! bwahahaha

After the break...

Kara brought back Matt Giraud - yehey!

And there, they completed the wildcard contestant who will perform again for the last time who might complete our magic 12. Among the 8, my best pick to advance would be Meagan, Anoop, Tati, Matt and Ricky. Who cares with the other two.. yey! But of course they already holding the faith of the lucky people.. We're not fool, we know how this things work.

So there, let's just hope that we will be entertain by their performances.

American Idol Top 36 - Group 3

Oh yeah, so last night is the Idols' comeback..really!.. group 3 ruled!

The night performances is what We been waiting for.... or I. There are lots of decent performances.. good voices. I'm somewhat feel I am watching the final 12 performances. Almost all of the contestant sang their heart out, perform their very best and should go through the top 12 spots. Sad to say, as what we know, only 3 of the best or should I say, highest text/call votes getter will advance... how sad.

I remember, having a conversation with my friends before watching the show last night. They told me that they were beginning to feel bore about the show due to it's two consecutive bad episodes. Some of their early favorites are among the first two and they are assuming that contestant from group three are only "pulps of the crops". Well its just prove us all wrong after watching the show.. Who can ever think that those people who the show producers' pimp so hard and show every single episode of the show are those who will fail.. And those who they don't think will bring them tons of dollars are very good... It's hard to expect too much you know.. Yay!

Here are the list of performances last night from great to good(hahaha)..

Lil Rounds - Well, the judges are right when they told before that she sounds like Fantasia and Latoya London before.. She has a great vocals.. love her performance of "Be With You" by Mary J. Blige. She really works on it.. add some extra lyric which is good for her. Bet she will advance on the final 12. "The best that we found this season" - as per the judges.. - I agree!

Jorge Nuñez - sang one of my Elton John's favorite songs, "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me". Great performance from our Puerto Rican.. Nice dictions.. nice chops.. nice interpretation. I don't mind if he had some dictions issue.. its Kara's problem.. yey! Very deserving to be on top 12. One of the hard working contestant I think. He works on his English dictions as confirmed by Paula Abdul. Yeah I noticed it on the Hollywood rounds.

Oh before I forgot, I think they slashing Kara down... hahaha. Sorry girl, Judges table is too crowded for 4 people.. diction problem? bah!

Felicia Barton - I'm so happy to watch Felicia Barton performing on Idol. From her rejection to her come back! She sang "No One" by Alicia Keys. How dare them not to include this girl to the orginal top 36. "It's not just hitting those high notes" as per Kara ... bulls#*t!

Not chosen over their favorite Joanna Pacitti (who again?) who forgot most of the lyrics to all her performances? It's a big mistake.. Hope America, votes for Felicia.. but due to likability, exposure and pimping issues, she have a little chance.. but still I'm hoping...

Ju'not Joyner - sang "Hey Delilah" by Plain White Ts. Very nice tone.. you can feel his feelings while he is singing the song. He performed the same song on Hollywood week but this time he change some melody... great great performance.. nice falsetto! Hope he be the first black male to make it in the top 12 this season.

Scott MacIntyre - I just thought that he doesn't pull off on that performance. Technically his vocal is great but the song "Mandolin Rain" by Bruce Hornsby is not the best song for him. Some ballad songs will be best suited for him and not this one. Anyway, I still like him.

He will surely advance on the final 12 due to a load-full advertisement given by all the judges. He will surely be given his glorious moment once he sing while playing piano.. that's for sure.

Von Smith - well he cool down a little bit on his performance. I love "You're All I Need To Get By" by Marvin Gale. I love motown songs you know. hahaha.

Anyway, he do some justice on the song.. some bad low notes I think but everything is fine.. yeah just fine. Surely not a pick for the top 12... for now.. but I'm pretty sure he will be back for the Wildcard round.

Kendall Beard - sang "This One's For The Girls" by Martina McBride. Love.. love her.. I like her country tone.. I'm a bit country songs fan coz I much prefer a contemporary one. Anyway I think she is cute and sweet :D. Though there are some notes issue on her performance, I think she still better than other people in previous groups..

Kristen McNamara - sang "Give Me One Reason" by Trace Chapman. She change the way she dress herself. She removed that purple hair color...and yeah, She looks good :). Nice song choice for her I think though I much prefer Jordin Sparks' rendition.

Nate Marshall - nice to see this kid so happy to be at the stage.. being who he was. He sang "I Would Do Anything For Love" by Meatloaf. I like the song when I was a kid. hahaha

Anyway he seems to be so comfortable doing his performance.. In funny side... I was just little bit shock that he turns to be a "Diva" in some part of the performance... I thought I been watching a Ballet dance in some part of it... anyway.. he is cool :D.

Taylor Vaifanua - sang Alicia Key's "If I Ain't Got You". Nothing special with the her performance. She is one of my early favorite but because of some good performances last night, she doesn't stand out. I'm just worrying about her stage presence... she seems to move a lot... well atleast at her age, she had this kind of experience.

Alex Wagner-Trugman - my dork! He sang "I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blue" by Elthon John. The song is unfamiliar for me but I guess its a good song. He still do his thing on the stage turning himself into a different person while singing. He got a different tone though. He is good for sure but the song is not best choice for him...

Arianna Afsar - sang "The Winner Takes It All" by ABBA. I feel so sad after her performance :(. The worst of the night. Sorry, I love her, one of my early favorite. But the arrangement is bad that it becomes awkward and painful to listen. Her voice is not suited for this kind of song.. Well anyway, I'm glad to know her :).

So there it is.. the best night of season 8...

I'm quite sure Lil Rounds and Scott McIntyre will proceed to the next round... For Lil, base on her strong performance and for Scott for the pimping and endorsement cames from the judges.. for the next spot, I am torn between, Felicia Barton, Jorge Nuñez and Ju'not Joyner. I would like to see more of Felicia but it would be unfair for Jorge and/or Ju'not not to be in since they gave a very decent performances... very decent which is enough for a spot in the final 12...

Well it's the viewers choice... so let's see what happen.

Updates

What a stressful day! Hahaha kidding! I just had a bad time last night but all in all I feel good today.

Anyway, I had our supper in one of the old local food shops in the area with my friend. It's a disastrous evening when our food arrived morethan 45minutes after we placed our order. In other places waiting for your food with amountful of time is okay.. if... only if.. you will going to received a very great viand.. what we had are far worst than eating some finger foods that you can buy beside the streets... wahh..

Oh well.. another experience.. :)

Later at 8, I will meet up with my team.

I also tried to call and booked for a badminton court in the Clubhouse.. I think I'm not lucky today. all days this week are fully booked but I managed to get some slots for the following week... It's really hard to call them now a days..

One of my teammates is also on leave for 2 days starting today so I expect some challenges in our job. Just crossing my fingers cross until 5...hehehe.

For two consecutive days, I managed to eat a full meal... (that's what I call improvement.. hahahaha).

American Idol 8 Group 2 Result

So there another 3 people advanced to top 12 of this show.. and yeah, I also thought that there are more suspense and unpredictable result when Kris Allen got a spot in the final and not my bet, Megan Joy Corkrey... sorry but another disappointment.. maybe this show is lacking its power to thirst us... well I don't know if its just me..

Anyway, thanks for Brooke White who performed "Hold Up My Heart" .. which is the best thing that happen in the result show. I love Brooke.. she is still very interesting to listen... good thing.. She doesn't start and forgot any lyric.

First to proceed in the top spot is Allison Iraheta who Seacrest requested to stand together with Jesse Langseth and Matt Breidzkie. Again Allison sang "Alone" and she is still great! No suspense there... purely predictable that who ever stand beside Allison in the center stage will be out.

Second and in my great shock was Kris Allen who proceed to the stage together with Megan, Matt Giraud and Jeanine Vailes. Jeanine, who was showing how beautiful her legs are, was sent back to the couch first followed by Matt G. Leaving Kris and Megan who I think almost pass out and started to catch some air. I crossed my fingers hoping Megan to be called in but there.. a great shock and disappointment started.. Kris was in, my beautiful Megan is out. Well thats the power of attraction.. I bet all teenage girls around America voted for Kris.. I hope they will give Megan another shot to comeback.. She got lots of potential. Kris perform my favorite Michael Jackson's song "Man In The Mirror" and yes, he sound better that the other night.

And finally the last spot for the night is between Mishavonna, Kai, Nick/Norman(whatever), Adam and Jasmine....a very predictable ending.. Mishavonna, Kai and Jasmine was sent back leaving Adam and Nick at the stage. Seacrest tried to suspense us when he call for break hoping that they will leave some people salivating for its result..Well sorry to disappoint them, no one who is mentally capable in thinking straight will think that Nick will win over Adam. Well, it will be unbelievable if it happens.. but no, it is the impossible that will never be possible.

Show resumed and Adam Lambert was announced to be included on the final 12. I think he and Nick already knew the result and was not surprised when they revealed it. Adam perform "Satisfaction" again, and yes, I hear some bad notes at the beginning of the song. I still think he is awesome!

Well, it is still a big 'bah'. If only they saved and announced Kris triumph against the other contestant before the end of the show and not in the midst of it, I think they will get my attention. I think it will be a great episode if he was paired with Mishavonna and Megan.. hayz.. well...

Last group will perform next week.. I'm still hoping some of my favorites do good enough to be in the final cut....
